OS: Windows XP/2003/Vista/2008 and newer.
Status: Solved
Version: StatPlus 4.0 - 4.9.3 and older based applications (BioStat 3 - 3.8.2).

Q:

I am doing an ANOVA with some data I have. I am trying to compare the answers to some questions based on gender (male=1 versus female=0). Some of my respondents did not tell me if they were male or female so they left that blank. Therefore, I want to ignore their answers to the other questions when I compare male vs female answers since I don’t know what gender. When I select “ignore non-numeric values”, instead of not using that data, the program puts the people who did not tell me whether they are male or female in a separate group. Thus I have three groups, no gender, male, and female. I don’t want that. What should I do?

A:
Upgrade the program to StatPlus 4.9.3.2 or newer/BioStat 3.8.3 or newer.
This bug was fixed and program handles missing values correctly. If you have missing value in some row - the row will be marked as missing.

To update full version - run Help->Check for updates command.
To get new trial relase - go to the
StatPlus download page
or
BioStat download page
